Explosion Simulator

January 20th, 2009

This was a Year Two Semester One, OpenGL Assignment.

What I wanted to do with this project was simulate how objects would react if caught in the blast radius of an explosion. A video of this application can be found below (Link).

This application implements a large range of modular features including;

  • Ray-to-Facet Collision Detection
  • .3DS and .BMP File Readers (including vertex normal calculations)
  • Complete Vector and Matrix Classes
  • Particle-Based Physics Simulation (with Rigid Body Rotation)

Many thanks to Emma Weir for the Dynamite Model

    I like your simulator, is it available for download with source code provided?

    Unfortunatly I am unable to provide the source code as this was completed for a University assignment.
