Ahhh… Damn…

January 27th, 2009

Do you ever get one of the ‘ohhhh crap’ when you do something and you just have to watch the events unfurl in-front of you. Well, last night I had an awesome idea…. before I go to bed I will sort out my gaming shelves and organise my games/dvd’s.

As I take the first stack of games of the shelf, the entire thing crashes’ down spreading Xbox games across my PC area and the shelf itself narrowly misses my monitor.   Ahhhh… Damn…

The next hour was spent sorting them up and re-arranging my storage space so I didn’t have to use my shelf’s any more (yeh, pessimisum got the best of me). So it comes to today, and I have a nice neat cupboard space for games and thier assorted shelf items, however my wall is now bare, -and- as a result of sorting out my shelf, I realised how many games I havn’t actually completed, which does give me some options to kill time, but there ya’ go.

On a brighter note, Dawn of War 2 beta is set to hit today (in 1hr infact), which is great for me as I am really torn between getting it or not. Ill post up my thoughts when time comes.

Anyhow, i’m going to go and kill an hour while I wait for DoW2….

Change is Here!

January 20th, 2009

Well, as you are no doubt aware change has come to America.

For those not in the know, President Obama was inaugurated as President today, closing Bush’s 8 year stretch (Videos of Obama’s speech are on the BBC). Honestly, I do think that this is a change for the benefit of the world and starting tomorrow we will be able to see if he holds out on promises which he made.

In-keeping with that promise to change, I have updated both the ‘About Me’ page and the ‘Application’ page.

On the Application page you will now find my two projects which I completed last semester, complete with videos for them. Code samples are available upon request, dependent upon your situation.

Let the Games Begin…

January 12th, 2009

Yahooo! Today has been an excellent day. Up bright and early at half 7, into University by 8:50; Assignment handed in by 9; One lecture, then back to the house.

What this means is that I now have no more assignments or deadlines that need to be met. Its all a huge weight of my chest and it means I have free time to ‘chillax’ and play some games.

The new season of 24 has started however my housemates are forcing me to wait until tommorrow to watch it (4 whole hours worth!) while they play Red Alert 3 >_<

Till next time!

Exams are Over!

January 9th, 2009

Phew!

Been a long week, 4 exams and 2 assignments over the last 5 days. With the exception of one report, last semester is finished! Onto a week of sleep and games :-P

Im back in Stafford now, have been since the 3rd and its been differant getting back into the student life style and will be even more-so in the coming week when the first lectures start.

New year has been fun, had quite a quiet day as most of the family who normally come around were either out or ill :-( .

On a completly unrelated note however, Game’s sales are crazy. Yesterday I picked up a brand new copy of the collectors edition of Alone in the Dark (the new one)… for £6.99… Bargin! It even came with an awsome little figure of some guy who I presume is the main character…

Hope all has been well for everyone!
